HUNTERDON MUSEM OF ART • DECEMBER 3rd 2024 • 5-7PM
Steamroller Group's exhibition is a vibrant convergence of six diverse artists uniting six individual voices into one powerful, collective voice. Along with our individual work, we are presenting our first collaborative piece, COLLECTIVE BODY. This piece was fueled by examining the most essential of all elements - the relationship - and resulted in forming a web of supportive and dynamic exchange. Creating art as a group is a challenging process of exploration and cooperation. This ongoing dialogue navigates the language of these specific materials - ink, thread, silk, natural dye, cotton, and wood. Through this process, a symbolic vocabulary of imagery, texture, and color has emerged, demonstrating the transformative power of collaboration.
