For a view brief but remarkably eventful years, the gallery was a place for and by artists living in the wings of New York and Philadelphia. Paying homage to the Dogged Determination of the original members, a new initiative was formed in 2022. Two of original founding members, Val Sivilli and Erika Steffen joined up with Susan Mania and Kazaan Viveiros in creating Steamroller Group, an artist collective that pays homage to the legacy of community run initiative in support of artists and the artmaking endeavor. The STEAMROLLER GALLERY was founded in 1996 as an artist-led cooperative space in Frenchtown, NJ.
